Corrections
Everything here is built from public records: roll-call votes, campaign finance filings, stock trade disclosures, committee rosters. Those records carry errors of their own, our reading of them can be wrong, and a figure that is technically correct can still be framed in a way that misleads.
If you think something here is wrong, say so. You do not need to be right, and you do not need to work in politics.
What happens when you tell us
A person reads it.
Every report gets read and checked against the primary source, whoever sent it and whichever way it cuts.
Fixes go into the data, not just the page.
Most figures here come out of data files that feed a dozen pages at once. Repainting the one page you happened to be looking at would leave the same number wrong everywhere else.
Framing counts.
A number can be accurate while the sentence around it implies something the number does not support. That is still an error and it gets fixed the same way.
If a photograph is yours
Candidate and member photographs come from public-domain government portraits, from Wikimedia Commons under the license each file carries, or from a campaign’s own published headshot, used to identify the person the record is about.
If you hold the rights to an image here and would rather it were not used, tell us and it comes down. You will not be asked to argue about it first. If you would rather a different photograph of the same person were used, send it and we will use that instead.

Tell us what page it is on, what it says, and what you believe the record actually shows. A link to the primary source makes it faster, but it is not required. Write to [email protected] or use the contact form.
Every position the site records is downloadable, with roll-call numbers and links to the official record, so you can check the whole set rather than one page of it: the open data page.
