Everything this site knows about a reader sits in one table with a handful of columns. The rows below are all of them.
If you subscribe to the email
Signing up is double opt-in: you give us your address, and nothing is sent until you click the link in a confirmation email. If that link is never clicked, the record is never activated.
If you only read
What never happens
Your data is never sold, rented or traded. There is no ad network, no retargeting pixel, no data broker, and no third-party tracker beyond the cookieless page counts above. We make no attempt to work out who you are, how you vote or which party you belong to, and the site holds nothing that would let us.
The email list is for the email. It is not used to contact you about anything else, and nobody can rent, borrow or buy it.
Leaving, and getting your data back
Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and your mail client’s own unsubscribe button works too. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately, not within ten days.
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for the whole record to be deleted, and we will do it. No form, no account to log into. Write to us and a person handles it. This goes for everyone, wherever you live, because it should not depend on which state or country you happen to be sitting in.
Do Not Track, and children
We do not follow you across other websites, so a Do Not Track signal changes nothing here. It comes up only because California law asks sites to say how they respond to one.
The site is not directed at children under 13 and nothing is knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has subscribed, tell us and we will delete the record.
Getting in touch.
Privacy questions, access requests, and deletion requests go to [email protected] or through the contact form. If this policy changes, the date below changes with it and we will say what changed.
