Hershel Woody Williams National Medal of Honor Monument Location Act

What this does

This bill sets where an already-authorized monument goes. Congress authorized the National Medal of Honor Monument in 2021 under Public Law 117-80. This bill orders that monument placed within "the Reserve," the protected core of the National Mall. It does so notwithstanding section 8908(c) of title 40, the Commemorative Works Act provision that otherwise restricts new commemorative works in that area. The rest of the Commemorative Works Act still governs the monument. The bill authorizes no new monument and no funding; it only fixes the site.
