Unique ZIP Codes for 66 Communities Act

What this does

This bill orders the United States Postal Service to assign a single, unique ZIP Code to each of 66 named communities across the country. The Postal Service would have to make the designations no later than 270 days after the bill becomes law. Many of the listed places currently share a ZIP Code with a larger neighboring city, which can cause confusion over mail delivery, mapping, and municipal identity. The communities span states including California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Texas, and Wisconsin, along with sites such as Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
