Perry County Forest Service Land Conveyance

Official title: To require the Secretary of Agriculture to convey a parcel of property of the Forest Service to Perry County, Arkansas, and for other purposes.

What this does

The bill directs the Secretary of Agriculture to transfer roughly 0.81 acres of Forest Service land at 1069 Fourche Avenue in Perryville, Arkansas, to Perry County if the county requests it in writing within 180 days of enactment. The conveyance is made at no cost by quitclaim deed, subject to valid existing rights, and the county pays all costs including any survey, environmental analysis, and historic-preservation review. The land may be used only for public purposes such as education and youth development, and it reverts to the United States, at the Secretary's discretion, if that use ends. The Secretary is not required to provide any covenant or warranty for the property.
