What a yes vote endorsed

DeOndra Dixon INCLUDE Project Act of 2025

What this does

The bill amends the Public Health Service Act to direct the Director of the National Institutes of Health to carry out a program of research, training, and investigation on Down syndrome, named the INCLUDE Project. It lists the research the program must include, ranging from the effects of trisomy 21 on human development to co-occurring conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. It requires NIH to coordinate its Down syndrome work across its institutes and to prioritize research that does not duplicate existing NIH activity. It requires NIH to consult relevant stakeholders, including patient advocates, and to report to congressional committees on a biennial basis on the research conducted under the section.
