DUMP Red Tape Act

What this does

This bill directs the Chief Counsel for Advocacy of the Small Business Administration to set up a Red Tape Hotline within 180 days where small entities can report the burden of complying with an agency rule, guidance, policy statement, or other activity. The Chief Counsel must provide an email address, submission form, phone number, or other method, and an easily accessible website. Once a year, the Chief Counsel reports to the SBA Administrator and Congress on which rules draw the most complaints, which agencies issued them, recommendations to those agencies for reducing the burden on small entities, and what actions the Chief Counsel took. It adds this as a new subsection of existing SBA advocacy law and uses established definitions of agency, rule, and small entity.
