What this does

This bill extends an existing federal whistleblower-protection law, section 4712 of title 41 of the United States Code, to cover workers on contracts, subcontracts, grants, subgrants, and personal services contracts funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The protection applies regardless of when the underlying agreement was signed, including agreements signed before this bill becomes law. The House passed it on September 15, 2026, 424 to 0.
