Homeowner Energy Freedom Act

What this does

Repeals three home-energy programs created by the 2022 reconciliation law (Public Law 117-169). Section 2 strikes the high-efficiency electric home rebate program (section 50122), the state-based home energy efficiency contractor training grants (section 50123), and assistance for states and localities to adopt the latest and zero-energy building codes (section 50131). It rescinds any unobligated balances remaining under sections 50122 and 50131, and removes the cross-reference to the rebate program from the related section 50121(c)(7).
