What a yes vote endorsed
Dalles Watershed Development Act
What this does
This bill directs the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Forest Service, to transfer about 150 acres of National Forest System land in the Mount Hood National Forest to the City of The Dalles, Oregon. The transfer happens only if the City files a written request within one year of enactment. The land is conveyed for no payment, by quitclaim deed, and subject to valid existing rights, and the City must pay all costs including the survey. The City must use the land for public purposes such as municipal water supply and related infrastructure, and title reverts to the United States if the land is used in any other way.
