Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act

What this does

The bill amends Section 404 of the Social Security Act to state that nothing in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families part bars a state from using a TANF grant to support pregnancy centers. It defines a pregnancy center as an organization, such as a pregnancy resource center, pregnancy help center, or pregnancy medical center, that supports protecting the life of the mother and the unborn child and offers resources and services to mothers, fathers, and families, including relationship counseling, prenatal and pregnancy education, pregnancy testing, diapers, baby clothes, or other material supports.
