Chiricahua National Park Act
What this does
The bill redesignates Chiricahua National Monument in Arizona as Chiricahua National Park, keeping the same boundaries the monument had as of enactment. The Secretary of the Interior continues to administer the park under the existing proclamations that established it and the laws generally applicable to National Park System units. The Secretary must protect traditional cultural and religious sites in the park in consultation with Indian Tribes, provide tribal members access to those sites for traditional and customary uses, and may temporarily close specific areas at a tribe's request to protect those uses, limited to the smallest practicable area and time.
